J2534 Logger

Overview

J2534 Logger is the first software that records and saves CAN and K-line communication in the car using any existing J2534 hardware. There is no longer any need to spend money on expensive equipment for logging K-line and CAN-bus traffic.

Plenty of OEM diagnostic applications support the J2534 protocol, and today almost every workshop already owns at least one J2534 device. Specify CAN filters to capture only the communication you need — enter the CAN identifiers of the messages you want to capture. Without filters, some messages might be missed depending on the hardware quality and CAN-bus load.

The software is designed for ease of use: captured CAN traffic can be saved to a text file (reading it with Notepad++ is recommended).
